About

The Acceptance Club idea came from years of feeling like I don't quite belong, and I don't quite know who I am, and I thought I was the only one who had these struggles. Then I realised so many feel this way, and that we can rewrite the old beliefs we have about ourselves that actually came from outside of us (society, family, comments made from people just trying to hurt us/make fun that 'stuck'). But it will take time and consistency to change those thoughts and patterns, and I love the practice of physically writing to really cement it into the mind. Those few moments we take out of our day to sit and reflect and write down our honest thoughts can make such a difference and better yet if we do it together- knowing there's others going through the same thing and working on their self-acceptance at the same time. We can share our answers (anonymously of course) and we will see how many feel the same. You aren't alone, you are human and it's never too late to re-train your mind to think better about yourself, and then we can pass this onto our children. I know it's hard to be vulnerable like this, but it actually shows bravery to be vulnerable, and you will find your people by being authentically you!

Thanks for sharing and joining me in rewriting the story :)
